LAB DNA Scientific (Pty) Ltd is a South Africa based biotechnology startup developing LAB LIMS, a modular laboratory information management system for regulated laboratories. The platform is being developed and tested within a live forensic DNA laboratory, where auditability, chain-of-custody and ISO-17025 compliance are critical. LAB LIMS is designed to improve laboratory workflows by embedding traceability, access control and compliance into daily operations. While initially focused on forensic and legal DNA testing environments, the system is being built to support other laboratory settings, including research and analytical labs. The company combines deep forensic science experience with laboratory software development.
